Hi just a few words about Rod and me, I’m Sandie, I’ve been involved with dogs for all my life. Rod is my Farm working husband; we have been involved in Pyreneans and showing since the early 90's. Before that I was and still am involved in training obedience, ring craft and behaviour problems in dogs. I did 4 years at veterinary collage when I left school (I am talking 30 years ago now, when we only had to do 5 years, not the seven required nowadays), but I flunked my field exams when I had to put a horse down for a behavioural problem it had and I would or could not do it, which led me on to studying behavioural problems in horses first and then 20 years ago I branched out into the dog field, which I found very interesting. I have shown and won at Crufts Obedience with a Border Collie I owned back in the 60's. I have also owned GSD's, Jack Russell Terriers, Rough Collies and Labradors.
The first Pyrenean we brought was Kasper (he's on the opening page of this site) we had no intention of showing then, but someone said 'go on try' and the rest is history. Our second Pyrenean was Katie, she's a full sister to the top winning Pyrenean at this moment in time, Shanlimore Midnight Cowboy, we made her up to Champion within 3 years and had a litter from her (our first in Pyrenean's) in 1999 and kept a dog and bitch who have both won Reserve CC's. The bitch  we have just bred from, had ten puppies, we have kept one that we will hopefully show.
I am the Secretary of the Chichester and District Canine Society and I am also on the
'C' list for Leo's , 'A' list for Estrela's and the 'A3' list for PMD's judging list.
All we have achieved with our dogs in the last fourteen years I could never had done without R
od and his support.

KRICARNO
Many people have asked me how I arrived at the name "KRICARNO" for the affix for our Kennels, well here goes. The K is for Kevin, my twin brother who died nine weeks after he was born, short story here,- initially only my brother was to be born and not until after he was born did they realise that I was also following on quite quickly, I was put into a incubator straight away as I only weighed 3 pounds so it was touch and go for me but my brother Kevin was a strapping 9 pound and according to my mother, very noisy and cross little boy that was fit and well. So the K was for him, R is for Rod my husband for without him I would not have the wonderful life I have living here with my beautiful dogs, I is for the ‘i’ in my mother maiden name ‘Witt’

C is for Claire Rod’s daughter, who has supported us all the way with the dogs even down to doggy sitting when her dad and I went out for an evening, A is for the ‘a’ in Rod’s son Paul’s name, the other R is for Richards which was my maiden name, N is for the n in my name, and finally O -and if you look at it you will  find it has no beginning and no end.
